I’ve been busy editing and reviewing things for friends and whatnot, but I haven’t forgotten about my 3.5 followers! Expect the next part of my story soon. I promise! PINKIE PROMISE!
A comfortable wind blows across a dusty country road. A road that hasn’t seen many cows today, a fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed by a particularly sharp beetle perched proudly on a nearby fencepost. As the beetle gazes up at the setting sun, he begins to ponder the lack of traffic on his simple road and the effects this new found peace will have on his life and blood-pressure. Before he gets too far into the serious economics of the issue, however, he slips off his fencepost and falls into the web of a rather surprised, but not particularly upset, spider.
Standing dramatically as a silhouette against the setting sun previously admired by a beetle is a dashing young man and his badger. The man had decided to pause there and let the wind blow his long and well styled hair around playfully. The badger sits by the man’s side with one paw on its face growling quietly. The put-upon badger’s disdain shifting into despair as the man turns to speak.
“Ah, Eustace, it’s such a lovely sunrise, isn’t it? Its beauty is paralleled only by the soft justice of a maiden’s virginity.”
Eustace’s despair seemed somehow justified.
